We help form and train church safety teams.

We developed several cost-effective training options to help train church security/safety teams and ushers to better handle incidents. These classes are designed to build skills and teamwork in church settings.

The training can take place at your church or our private range. Students perform role-playing scenarios to learn appropriate responses to possible incidents. At the range, students can perform live-fire exercises.

Contact me to speak at your next Safety Team meeting.

Option One: A Presentation.   3- 4 hours

A presentation on “The Role of Security in the Church” that includes a PowerPoint that discusses security challenges facing churches and the appropriate responses.

  • Concepts in church security
  • Scanning – What to look for
  • Assessing – How to gauge threats
  • Response – Church plans

Option Two: Roleplaying scenarios exercises.    3- 4 hours

We perform role-playing scenarios exercises that are designed to develop skills in teamwork to respond to various incidents in the church setting.  This may include the option of using non-firing training pistols during the role-playing.  Role-playing is a valuable tool to simulate actual incidents. Keep in mind, not every incident is a shooting incident.

  • Promotes problem-solving skills
  • Learn in your actual environment
  • Builds confidence
  • Encourages communication skills
  • Not every situation is a shooting situation

Option Three: Live-fire shooting exercises at the shooting range.     3- 4 hours

Conduct live-fire exercises and drills at the shooting range to develop skills specific to church environments in the unfortunate event the use of firearms are used to protect church members. The students perform live-fire exercises on various targets and situations. (This is not a basic handgun class. Students should have a valid License To Carry a handgun.

  • Gear selection
  • Teamwork
  • Communication
