Now you can take the official Texas License to Carry a Handgun 4-hour class online at your pace in the comfort of your home for only $50 by clicking here.

(Discounts available for veterans, first responders, school and church safety teams.)

When you complete the 4-hour online class, do the shooting portion with us.  We do the shooting portion of the online License to Carry a Handgun Class during the week at 6 pm at the Ally Outdoors indoor range and most of the day on weekends.

Our fee is $80


Click on these steps to get a License to Carry a handgun. The total price is $180

1. Complete the 4 hours online LTC class $50

2. Complete the shooting portion with us. $80

3. Submit an online application to the Texas DPS website $40

4. Make an appointment for fingerprints  $10

5.  Upload your Certificate of Training Form to the DPS  (LTC-101)

Upon completion of all the steps, the LTC will be mailed to you by the Department of Public Safety in around 3 weeks or less.

  • A reliable handgun (we have handguns with ammo for rent for $20)
  • Eye and ear protection (we can provide)
  • 50 rounds of ammunition

About the Instructor

Paul Urias, paul@guardiantrainingagency.com

Paul is a law enforcement officer with 26 years’ experience.  Fifteen years in professional court security. He is a former SWAT Team member, holds a Masters Peace Officer License, a certified Court Security Specialist, Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Instructor and Firearms Instructor, Texas License to Carry Handgun Instructor, NRA Instructor, and Range Safety Officer. Paul`s teaching techniques are based on his various training and law enforcement experience. Paul co-founded Guardian Training Agency with the belief that training should be relevant, fun, and realistic. Paul is knowledgeable about mental health and violence in our society, self-defense, and mindset techniques.  Paul is a certified Glock handgun and AR-15 rifle armorer. Paul serves on the Safety Committee at Midland Shooters Association and continues training in various disciplines and instructors.
