Course Description:
This 40-hour TCOLE Court Security Specialist Course is more in-depth than the 8-hour Court Security Officer Course (Course: 10999).
This course is designed to give the court security officer a better understanding of threats and procedures associated with court settings.
This certification will meet the court security training mandate.
Course Instructor:
Paul Urias was a Courthouse Security sergeant and a Court Bailiff for over 16 years, with over 27 years of law enforcement experience with the Midland County Sheriff`s Office. He is a Master Peace Officer, Court Security Specialist, TCOLE Firearms Instructor, and License to Carry a Handgun Instructor. Paul started his training company, Guardian Training Agency, over ten years ago and has worked as a full-time instructor since retiring from law enforcement.
